How to Study Your Bible

"Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path."

Psalm 119:105

Reading your Bible is not about checking a box, it is about building a relationship with God. You do not have to have it all figured out. You just have to start.

Have a Plan

Do not overcomplicate it. Use something structured like:

·       A One Year Bible

·       A devotional

·       Journal

A plan helps you stay consistent and focused. Consistency matters more than how much you read.

Pray Before You Read

Ask God to speak to you. “God, help me understand Your Word and apply it to my life.”

Slow Down

Take your time and ask:

·       What is this saying?

·       What does this mean for me?

It is not about rushing, it is about understanding.

Write It Down

Write one verse, one thought, or one takeaway. What you write, you remember.

Live It Out

The goal is not just to read the Bible, it is to live it. Ask yourself: “What can I do differently today?”

Stay Consistent

Even a few minutes a day makes a difference. Make it a habit, not just something you do when you feel like it. God’s Word will guide you, one step at a time.
